How to Get to Jesus Dela Peña, Marikina City?
Jesus Dela Peña is one of Marikina City's oldest and most historic barangays. Located along the banks of the Marikina River, it is best known as the site of the Jesus Dela Peña Chapel, where the first recorded Catholic Mass in Marikina was celebrated on April 16, 1630 by Jesuit missionaries.
According to local history, the Jesuits discovered a small image of Jesus in the area, which later became an object of devotion among the early settlers. Today, the chapel remains an important religious and historical landmark. Despite its rich heritage, Jesus Dela Peña is one of the smallest barangays in Marikina in terms of land area.
