Ang Prinsipito at DITO

Ang Prinsipito may be a little too profound for kids to fully understand but it is still a really good show for people of all ages. The song and dance productions will be greatly appreciated by the kids but the message of the story will be loved and adored by us, grown-ups. Often playful and sometimes unpredictable, the scenes were nicely accentuated with simple yet colorful props. Actors may need to sing a little louder at times, I think, but their acting skills and passion surely sufficed.

If you liked the book, The Little Prince, then you will surely love the play. It is a visually whimsical play that everyone should see. Ang Prinsipito will run at Dito: Bahay ng Sining for the entire month of August: 15, 22 and 29 (Fridays). 10am & 3pm ; 16, 23 and 30 (Saturdays) 3pm & 6pm ; 17,24 and 31 (Sundays) 6pm. Ang Prinsipito is a Filipino music adaptation of a classic Antoine de Saint-Exupery's book "The Little Prince". It is a story of a boy who claims to be a prince in his own asteriod and the journey he had. He met weird funny characters on the way and even made friends with a fox and a plane pilot. It is a children's book written for grown-ups. It tells us a moral lesson that we cannot completely understand something unless we search for its meaning.
