How to Get to Nangka, Marikina City?

Nangka is one of the easternmost barangays of Marikina, situated near the boundary of San Mateo and close to Quezon City. Because of its strategic location, it serves as an important gateway between Marikina and Rizal. Many commuters traveling from Rizal to Quezon City pass through Nangka, particularly via the Batasan route, which is often considered a faster and more economical option.

From Cubao

From Aurora Boulevard in Cubao, ride a jeepney or UV Express with the San Mateo or Montalban signboard. These routes pass directly through Nangka, including the area around Nangka Elementary School, the Barangay Hall, and the basketball court.

From Manila

Take the LRT-2 and get off at LRT-2 Katipunan Station. From there, ride a jeepney or UV Express bound for San Mateo or Montalban. These vehicles will take you directly through Nangka.

From Monumento or Fairview

By bus: Ride a bus bound for Cubao. Once you reach Aurora Boulevard, transfer to a jeepney or UV Express with the San Mateo or Montalban route.

By train: Take the MRT-3 and alight at Araneta Center-Cubao MRT Station. From Aurora Boulevard, ride a jeepney or UV Express bound for San Mateo or Montalban.

From Alabang, Pasay, or Makati

By bus: Take a bus heading to Cubao. Upon arrival, proceed to Aurora Boulevard and board a jeepney or UV Express with the San Mateo or Montalban signboard.

By train: Take the MRT-3 and get off at Araneta Center-Cubao MRT Station. Travelers coming from Alabang may first take a bus to Magallanes before transferring to the MRT. From Cubao, ride a jeepney or UV Express bound for San Mateo or Montalban.

The San Mateo–Montalban route remains the easiest and most direct way to reach Nangka and its key landmarks, including Nangka Elementary School, the Barangay Hall, and the community center.
