How to Get to Tañong, Marikina City?
Tañong is a quiet and highly accessible barangay in Marikina, located between the Marikina River and Bonifacio Avenue. Its central location makes it easy to reach from various parts of Metro Manila. Known for its relaxed atmosphere and close-knit community, Tañong offers a glimpse of everyday life in Marikina at a slower and more comfortable pace.
One of the barangay's notable landmarks is the local parish church, a familiar stop for both residents and visitors.
From Cubao
From Aurora Boulevard in Cubao, ride a jeepney with the Calumpang, SSS Village, or Parang/Fortune signboard. These routes pass directly through Tañong and will take you near the parish church and other key areas of the barangay.
From Manila
Take the LRT-2 and get off at LRT-2 Katipunan Station. From there, ride a jeepney bound for Calumpang, SSS Village, or Parang/Fortune.
From Monumento or Fairview
By bus: Take a bus bound for Cubao. Upon reaching Aurora Boulevard, transfer to a jeepney with the Calumpang, SSS Village, or Parang/Fortune signboard.
By train: Take the MRT-3 and alight at Araneta Center-Cubao MRT Station. From Aurora Boulevard, board any of the jeepneys heading to Tañong.
From Alabang, Pasay, or Makati
By bus: Ride a bus to Cubao. Once there, proceed to Aurora Boulevard and take a jeepney with the Calumpang, SSS Village, or Parang/Fortune signboard.
By train: Take the MRT-3 and get off at Araneta Center-Cubao MRT Station. Travelers coming from Alabang may first take a bus to Magallanes before transferring to the MRT. From Cubao, ride any of the jeepneys bound for Tañong.
The Calumpang, SSS Village, and Parang/Fortune routes remain the most convenient ways to reach Tañong, providing easy access to the barangay's church, residential communities, and nearby areas along the Marikina River.
